Chewy cash back comes from three places: a cash back portal like Rakuten that pays a share of your order, Chewy+ rewards from Chewy itself, and the odd card-linked offer in your card’s app. Here is what each pays on a Chewy order, what they all skip, and how to stack them with Autoship and a code without voiding the cash back.

A portal pays only when you click through to Chewy from its site, and each one has its own list of what doesn’t count. None pays on prescriptions or gift cards.

Rates change often, sometimes daily, so check the portal’s Chewy page for the live rate right before you click through. Ordering a prescription? The pharmacy coupon saves more than any portal there, since none of them pays on Rx.

Chewy+ rewards: Chewy’s own cash back

Chewy+ works like a cash back card that only pays at Chewy. It needs no portal and no click-through.

Chewy’s membership terms cap rewards at $100 a year and leave out gift cards and pet insurance. Rakuten pays nothing on the Chewy+ subscription itself.

Yes. Rakuten listed 2% cash back for Chewy on November 3, 2026, with nothing paid on prescriptions, flea and tick products, Chewy+ subscriptions or gift cards.

Which cash back site pays the most at Chewy?

On November 3, 2026, Active Junky listed 5%, ShopBack 3%, Rakuten 2% and TopCashback 1%. Rates change often, so check the portal before you click through.

Is Ebates the same as Rakuten?

Yes. Ebates is now called Rakuten, so Ebates cash back at Chewy is the Rakuten rate in the table above.

Does Chewy cash back work on Autoship?

On the first Autoship order, mostly. Rakuten and TopCashback pay on it but not on later deliveries, and Active Junky needs a newly created Autoship.

Can I use a promo code and still get cash back?

Sometimes. ShopBack, TopCashback and Active Junky void cash back if you use a code they don’t list, and Rakuten’s Chewy exclusions don’t mention codes.

Do I get cash back on orders in the Chewy app?

Not from TopCashback or Active Junky, which exclude app orders. Click through and order on the website instead.

Is RetailMeNot good for Chewy codes?
