Chewy Promo Code First Order
The Chewy promo code for a first order is WELCOME. Spend $49 on eligible items and Chewy adds an eGift card to your account once the order ships. That same first order also gets free delivery over $25 and 35% off when you start Autoship, with no code at all.
Each of these perks works once per customer, so the smart move is to line them all up on the same order. Here is what each one gives you and how to stack them.
Terms for WELCOME
1 use per order, 1 order per customer; must be signed in; brand exclusions; eGift card added after the order ships; while supplies last. Last confirmed on Chewy Nov 3, 2026. See it on Chewy

The Chewy new customer discounts you only get once
A first Chewy order can collect five one-time perks. This is how you get each one, and what you can still use on the orders that follow.
| Perk | How you get it | Can you use it later? |
|---|---|---|
| WELCOME eGift card | Sign in, add $49 of eligible items and enter WELCOME at checkout. Product pages show a $25 eGift card; it lands in your account after the order ships. | No. One order per customer. You spend the eGift card itself on a later order. |
| 35% off your first Autoship | Choose Autoship at checkout. The saving stops at $20 on most items, and some item pages show up to $50. | Not the 35%. Every Autoship order after that takes 5% off eligible items. |
| Free first-order delivery | Automatic on a first order over $25. Chewy lists free 1 to 3 day delivery for it. | No. After that, orders ship free at $49 or more, or on any order with Chewy+. |
| APP, $5 off in the app | Place your first app order, signed in, and enter APP at checkout in the Chewy app. | No. One use per order, one order per customer. |
| First pharmacy order | Pick one: RX30 takes 30% off a first pharmacy order without Autoship, up to $30. Or put the prescription on Autoship for 50% off, up to $50. | No. The two can’t be combined. Repeat Rx Autoship orders take 5% off. |
Brand exclusions apply to WELCOME and RX30. The pharmacy coupon page compares RX30 with the Rx Autoship discount for your prescription.
How to stack your first order coupon with Autoship
WELCOME, free delivery and the first Autoship discount each show as their own line in the order summary. Put them on one order so none of them goes to waste.
WELCOME with the first Autoship discount has worked for some shoppers and dropped off for others. Look for both lines in the summary before you place the order. The Autoship discount page shows where the 35% hits its cap.
Chewy app code: $5 off your first app order
Code APP is the one first-order code that lives in the Chewy app, not on the website.
APP takes $5 off the first order you place in the Chewy app. Download the app, sign in to your account, fill your cart and type APP in the promo code box at checkout. It works once: one use per order and one order per customer, while supplies last.
Chewy’s app page carries the code and its terms, and the $5 amount comes from Chewy’s own Facebook post. Check that the $5 line shows in the app’s order summary before you pay.
If this is also your very first Chewy order, enter WELCOME first, since its eGift card is worth more. The summary then shows whether APP can sit beside it.
What happened to the Chewy $20 off $49 coupon
Chewy’s first-order deal used to read as $20 off a $49 order. It is now an eGift card, and Chewy’s own pages don’t agree on the amount.
Spend $49 on eligible items with WELCOME and you still pay for the whole first order. The value comes back as an eGift card that Chewy adds to your account after the order ships, ready for your next order.
Product pages and banners show that card as $25. The terms box on Chewy’s Today’s Deals page still says $20. Whichever amount your checkout shows is the one you get.
Searching for a $15 off code instead? One has appeared in a Chewy banner for some returning accounts, not as a new customer code. See codes for existing customers.
